MUA Pro- Base Conceal and Brighten Kit Review

The MUA Pro Base Conceal and Brighten Kit is available from Superdrug. It contains 3 blendable colours.

MUA say this about their product:

The new Pro-Base Conceal & Brighten Kit is a perfectly blendable camouflage purse size kit that conceals discolouration, imperfections and redness. It even tackles those dreaded under eye circles! The high pigment level means that only a small amount of product is needed to achieve perfect coverage. Oil free and long lasting it is suitable for all skin types even the most sensitive ones.

I am not a pro with concealer and honestly I do not very often wear it but I find this product extremely easy to use. It helps with any dark circles that gather under my eyes and if I have any unwanted blemishes.
The product is creamy and blends onto the skin well using a brush or your fingers.

This product was around £3 so it is very affordable. I do not really have a comparison however i enjoyed using the product and will definitely continue to use this product myself.

Goodbye my friend

When you meet someone for the first time I think you know whether or not you will be friends or just people who know one another. I have known Serene for 2 years and I can honestly say we have been friends from the start. Serene is bubbly, Lively, Wacky and a whole bunch of fun.

Unluckily for me but luckily for Serene she has been given an opportunity to progress in life and seek out the happiness that we all look for, this means that she has to move away!

So I wanted to take this chance to share a photo of my beautiful friend and wish her all the best. As with anyone who leaves your life I am sad and I hope that we stay in touch.

 Thank you for reading

Carrie - Kimberly Peirce movie review

I was a little scared to watch this film as I don't usually enjoy horror films however I have seen the original version of this movie.

It is about a girl (Carrie) who is very sheltered at home by her mother who is extremely religious, at school she is ridiculed by her peers and is basically not having a very good time of it. Carrie who is played by Chloe Moretz discovers her first period while showering in gym class and things just go down hill from there.

There are a few changes in this version of the movie from the last ( as you would expect) but I generally enjoyed it. I wasn't at any point scared which for me was great but if you are a horror fanatic you probably want to be a little bit frightened. I had not seen Chloe Moretz in anything as far as I am aware but i thought she played this part beautifully, she was awkward to start with and then a little bit psycho towards the end of the film.

The only thing that I was disappointed by was some of the special effects. I think I have seen effects better on video games than in parts of this movie, That said it did not ruin my experience.

I hope you enjoyed this review leave any feedback or comments below, it would be received most gratefully :)

Sunday night = Family night ( apparently

Hi all,

Recently my sister decided she wanted to watch horror films with my dad. My dad was excited for the excuse to sit and watch TV there was just one problem in their little plan, My mum hates scary films!! she has banned my sister from going round to their house to watch these films.

This morning I got a text message from father asking if I wanted to watch films with them, I did not know these films were going to be scary so I said yes but now I know they are scary I am scared :(

not only do I have to suffer the films and either watch and then suffer when they both leave and I am by myself or I do something else while they are watching it and look unsociable.

I am literally Scared of everything. I might just read my book and leave them too it.

Bad day :(

Today is one of those days where nothing has gone right.

I got up this morning and put my dress on inside out. I should have known then that it was going to be a shitty day but I carried on. I put on my makeup that later on had smudged under my eyes.

I got into trouble at work over something that wasn't my fault and didn't have the balls to stand up for myself.

I forgot to print my drama scripts!!

Once I had got home from drama I found one of my guinea pigs had died. I have been very very sad and managed to give myself a terrible headache.

I wish you all a great day however think I should find a hole to spend the rest of the day in and hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Shadow of Utopia - Luke Shephard Review

The artwork for these books is not the most exciting however it is relevant to the story but I read this collection of books on my Kindle so I didn't have to look at the cover once I had begun to read the books.

The story is set on Earth in years to come after the inhabitants have been infected with the "Death Mark" some have managed to avoid this and they live on Utopia. This is not your typical young adult romance and although the books are not very long I found this book very enjoyable to read.

I liked the characters and how they each had different strains of the "Death Mark", I liked the conflict between the Mutants and the Utopian's and for a girl who loves a Disney ending I have surprised myself by enjoying the ending.

If you are looking for a book to get into and dissolve into a different world then I wouldn't think that this book would be long enough. However if you are looking for a fun after earth read, something new and exciting then this is the collection for you!!

Getting stressed about wedding planning.!

So I am due to get married in 2015 and I began planning for it last year. I was taking my time with the plans and feeling quite relaxed about it.

Once it turned to 2014 I realised that my wedding is a year away and I have so much to do. I think all brides should take a week off of work just to plan the wedding. In between working 50 hour weeks and looking after my doggie (and Fiancé)  I don't really get much time for myself.

In the year that I have lazily not thought about my up and quickly coming big day i have managed to book a venue:
www.orchardleigh.net
We have the cake booked from a lovely lady who designs and creates beautiful cakes:

We also have a beautiful photographer: http://www.slr-photography.co.uk/

Which is great but there is an ever growing list of things that I have not even thought about let alone planned such as:

the Dj, the dress, favours, bridesmaids dresses, colour themes, table plans, invitations the list could go on and on.

I am beginning to get very stressed with it all and need a nap just thinking about it.

Bound by Prophecy - Mellissa Wright

I am going to start off by saying i did not get very far into reading Bound by Prophecy - Mellissa Wright, Had I of managed to get further into the book i may have found that I liked it a lot more.

That said this book was disappointing, I know you should never judge a book by its cover but I totally did
The cover is exciting and serious with lovely colours and beautiful models.

The book starts and it feels like you are already halfway into a story, the characters seem to already know each other even though they only just met and I honestly found it difficult to get past the first few pages. I did however soldier on to find out what the book was about ( I imagine the main characters are some sort of paranormal being) but i never got past the fact that they were being chased by a bad guy who they were on first name terms with, this bad guy had not been discussed previously and I am still not sure what they were being chased for.

This makes me think that maybe I stumbled upon a series and had not begun at the beginning.
I am definitely not saying do not read this book but it was not for me. I normally hate to quit on a book before the end ( I need to know endings) but after a few chapters I did not relate or believe in either main character and so I put it down.

Exciting News.

As you may be aware i have some very exciting things planned for the next few years.

  1. Two of my best friends are getting married in Barbados and have invited me and my fiancé to join them at the wedding which means not only an I chief bridesmaid for my very best friend but i get to spend a lovely two weeks in Barbados (November 2014)
  2. I am getting married (eeeek) (May 2015)
  3. I am honeymooning in Florida seeing mickey mouse and all of his chummies.
This in itself is very exciting.

Today I had a text message from my mum (who has only been on a plane once before in her life, to Ireland, and hated every second of the flight) saying that they are planning a family trip to Canada. That would include my mum, Dad, 2 brothers, me and my fiancé, my sister and her fiancé and my auntie and uncle.

Now honestly I have never considered Canada as a holiday destination, There didn't seem to be much going on and there has always been places that I would prefer to go. I was wrong, Canada looks beautiful and after much internet research I realise there is lots to see and do in Canada.

We are planning on staying in a log cabin near to Niagara Falls (20 minutes away by car). I would love to take a day into New York but this may work out a little bit expensive.

Exciting!!!

Target met, Happy New Year

First off let me start by saying I hope everyone had a merry Christmas and wish everyone a

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

In September I vowed to begin my get fit journey. I wanted to loose a stone before Christmas. I was going to the gym and eating more healthily than before. I had exciting things to motivate me, I am going to Barbados in November 2014 and then i get married in May 2015 which means 2 lots of bikini wearing and basically not very many items of clothing, having lots of pictures taken of me and having to wear a beautiful white ( or ivory i have not decided yet) wedding dress.

But anyway I did it!!! I lost a stone. not only did I loose that stone I managed to keep it off over Christmas meaning I am an entire stone lighter to begin the next stage of my journey.

So rather than make a new resolution for 2014 I have decided that its OK to continue with an old one. I want to continue to cut out bad foods that taste so good and find healthier alternatives. I want to continue to drag my aching body to the gym at least 4 times a week. I want to take my puppy out for at least an hour a day so that we both get much needed exercise.

What is your resolution for 2014?

If my weight loss journey interests anyone then I will keep you all updated
